
About Us
TesserAct Theatre Ensemble is a non-for- profit organization that prides itself on being "The place where community and performing arts meet." We are a family friendly ensemble that strives to produce quality live entertainment for the community while building intergenerational bonds of our performers.
Founded in Palatine in 1993 by Tamara Jackson-Kist, a community theater based on the term from the book "A Wrinkle in Time", by Madeline L'Engle.
A Tesseract is the fourth dimension, the bridge, the wrinkle allowing you to cross from one place to another, one time to another.
While producing several plays in the 1990's. TesserAct Theatre Ensemble went into a hiatus until January of 2010 when it reemerged with its production of All Aboard For Broadway written by Craig Sodaro. Our 2010 productions were:
